STEP1 User’s Group Meeting (SUGM) We hold an annual meeting for our customers designed to be a learning experience. This is your very best way of knowing and understanding the scope of what STEP1 can do to help your business. You will be amazed at the ways STEP1 can help you. Here are the types of things that are covered at SUGM:

  • What’s new? Reviews of new features or products, with background on what the design criteria was and how the new features will make life easier for you or make more money for you.

  • Breakout sessions on our Processing Products. Here’s where you can pick up on how Intermediate and Advanced Purchasing work, check to see that you are properly doing all the daily procedures, and learning numerous modules more in depth.

  • Breakout sessions on our Strategic Products. If you have never been to one of our meetings, these are the classes that will really surprise you as to how helpful STEP1 can be to your business. See how you can easily catch customers that are drifting away from you, or find items customers should be buying that they are not.

  • How all of the above interrelates with each other, and how to formulate a strategy for your company to harness more of the power of STEP1 to help your business.

SUGM is not a forum for STEP1 to make a sales pitch! We don’t even take orders at the show. Yes, new products are discussed, but only from the context of needs that our customers had that we have addressed. A significant percentage of the classes are held on standard features that all of you have.

In addition to the classes, you get the opportunity to spend time with other STEP1 users. It’s interesting to find out how other customers have addressed issues that you might be having. Many long lasting friendships have begun at SUGM.

SUGM is purposely designed to not be a profit center for STEP1. We run the meetings at ‘break even’ because we want this to purely be a learning opportunity. This has been a very successful approach. More than half of the STEP1 users have attended the meeting, and every year about 75% of the attendees are frequent habitual attenders. Why would successful distributors come year after year if they weren’t benefiting from the experience? Come give it a try. You will be very glad you did.
